This Privacy Policy explains how hype.gg (“hype.gg”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information in connection with the hype.gg website, waitlist and application (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Information you provide to us
We collect information you submit directly, including:
- Contact details. Your email address when you join the waitlist or contact support.
- Account information. Credentials and identifiers created when you register, which may include a username, display name and profile image.
- Wallet addresses. Public blockchain addresses you create through, or connect to, the Service.
- Communications. Messages, feedback and support requests you send us.
- Verification information. Where required by law or by a payment or compliance provider, identity information collected by that provider.
2. Information collected automatically
When you use the Service we and our service providers may collect device and usage information, including IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages and features viewed, session timestamps, and diagnostic or crash data. We use this information to operate, secure and improve the Service.
3. Information from public blockchains
The Service reads and displays data recorded on public blockchains, including wallet addresses, balances, token holdings and transaction history. This information is public, is not created or controlled by us, and cannot be altered or deleted by us or by you. Where you associate a wallet address with an account or a public profile, activity at that address may become linkable to you by third parties.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to: provide, maintain and improve the Service; create and administer accounts; process and route transactions you initiate; operate social and copy-trading features you enable; communicate with you about the waitlist, product updates and support; detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers. Vendors that host our infrastructure, process payments, deliver messages, provide analytics and support security, acting on our instructions.
- Other users. Information you choose to make public, such as a display name, profile image or trading activity you elect to share.
- Legal and safety. Where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of users or the public.
- Corporate transactions. In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Wallets and private keys
The custody model determines whether private keys or key shares are held by you, by us, by a third-party provider, or split between them, and what that means for your ability to recover or export your keys. This section will describe the implemented system precisely before launch.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage and secure the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.
8. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Information recorded on a public blockchain is permanent and outside our control.
9. Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, credentials and any keys or key shares in your control.
10. Your choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time using the link in those messages, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold by contacting us at hello@hype.gg. We will respond as required by applicable law. Some information must be retained for legal or security reasons, and on-chain records cannot be deleted.
11. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer information across borders we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and the date above will be revised. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
